Sterile leech therapy is a practice performed by certified medical doctors and healthcare professionals under medical supervision using medicinal leeches. This treatment involves obtaining sterile leeches from the production site of ‘Hirudo medicinalis’ and ‘Hirudo verbana’ and using them as a supportive method in our unit.

In our Leech Therapy Unit:

• Used to reduce pain in diseases such as degenerative joint diseases (Osteoarthritis)
• Used for pain in lower extremity varicose vein diseases
• Applied with the aim of reducing pain in conditions like lateral epicondylitis.
